Vocational training of the handicapped was provided for by the Social
Security Act.Vocational training, employment, and work relief was provided
for by the Works Project Administration and Public Works Administration.

The George-Deen Act increased federal support for vocational programs
and included the addition of distributive occupations and teacher education
to the list for funding.

Vocational education programs received additional funding in order
to train people to support the war effort and help readjust soldiers
to civilian life.

America joined UNESCO, an organization which would provide vocational
training to underdeveloped countries.
